I have a compatibility issue affecting Pinokio users on Windows 11 systems where Smart App Control (SAC) is enabled.
Recently, Windows 11 Smart App Control has been blocking the Python runtimes and virtual environments utilized by Pinokio (including the Miniforge-based Python executables). Specifically, Windows CodeIntegrity triggers Event 3077, blocking python.exe from launching before applications like Flux and other AI environments can start.
Because Smart App Control does not support local whitelisting or file-level exclusions, and blocks binaries lacking recognized digital signatures or broad cloud reputation, users are currently forced to permanently disable SAC (which requires a complete Windows reinstallation to re-enable) in order to run Pinokio.
Would it be possible for the team to consider providing digitally signed Python runtimes/binaries or implementing a packaging approach that complies with Windows Smart App Control requirements?
Thank you for your dedication and great work on the Pinokio platform.
