One of the frustrating things about modern social media is, most of them generate their newsfeed based on algorithm, not based on what you follow.
Honestly it is terrible for publishers who want to share updates to their followers, and the followers who just want to stay on top of everything they follow. Here's what I believe:
- If you followed someone, you should get all their posts.
- If you followed a project, you should get all its updates.
And this is how the feed works on Pinokio. The main feed basically displays 2 things and 2 things only:
- All posts from people you follow
- All ANNOUNCEMENT posts from projects you follow
Note: For the COMMUNITY posts from your projects, you still get updated through the community sidebar, you will see the updated apps get bumped up to the top with unread status.
