Phosphene 4.19.9 is out
- A shorter, current README. Past release notes now live at phosphene.video/changelog.
- Update removes the test suite and internal maintainer notes from your Phosphene folder. Your models, outputs, settings and queue are not touched. Maintainers still run every test before each release.
- Manual install instructions are in docs/MANUAL_INSTALL.md. Hailuo H3's own LoRA library notes moved to the LoRAs guide in the panel's Docs tab and at phosphene.video/docs/loras.
- Groundwork for the native Mac app, coming soon and free. The panel can now run inside it with the app's own menus and update flow. Nothing changes for Pinokio users.
Press Update in Pinokio, then restart Phosphene.

Phosphene 4.19.8 is out
- Model licence screens: accept once per Mac, and again only if the licence changes.
- New H3 installs need licence acceptance in the panel first. The licence does not cover the European Union, the United Kingdom, South Korea or the United States.
- H3 Turbo now comes from the original LightX2V repository on Hugging Face. It works as before; if you already have it, nothing to do.
- The "Restart Phosphene" pill clears after restart. Thanks to @Morac2 and @blackest.
- A keyboard-shortcut label no longer shows an internal ID.
- New Hailuo H3, Music Studio and Install & Update guides are in the panel's Docs tab and on phosphene.video.
Press Update in Pinokio, then restart Phosphene.

Phosphene 4.19.4 - renders work again where a library update broke them
- A library the render engine loads on every render (tokenizers) put out a new version on Oct 9 that the engine refuses. An Update that stopped half-way could leave it installed, and then every video stopped at its first step ("tokenizers ... is required ... but found tokenizers==0.23.3"). Phosphene now keeps its engine on a tested set of package versions, and this Update puts the right one back if you already got the new one.
- If the engine's packages ever stop fitting together again, the panel says so as soon as you press Generate and offers Repair engine (a few minutes, all models kept), instead of failing 30 seconds in.
- A failed FLUX.2 image now says why on the first line of the message.
- The contributor manual is less than half its old size - thanks @blackest.
Press Update in Pinokio, then restart.

Phosphene 4.19.3 - your GitHub login stays yours, and bug reports say what happened
- Phosphene no longer touches your GitHub login. A statistics job meant only for the maintainer ran on every install. If GitHub's command-line tool was signed in, the job borrowed its token once a day to read Phosphene's own numbers from GitHub. It now runs only on the maintainer's Mac (thanks to the reporter of #106).
- Report a bug now asks "What happened?" before it opens the issue, and won't send an empty report.
- The log attached to a bug report keeps the error lines instead of whatever came last, and the dialog works for a second report in a row.
- Songs no longer wait on a lock file that only means something on the maintainer's Mac.
Press Update in Pinokio, then restart.

Phosphene 4.19.2 - Ingredients works on LTX-2.3 again, High 720p renders High, and fewer renders fail
- Ingredients puts your reference pictures in the video again on LTX-2.3 (thanks @Techy2023 for the report), and when both generations are installed you can switch LTX 2.3 / 2.5 right in the panel (thanks @blackest). 2.5 stays the default.
- The "High - 720p" chip in Video > Text now really renders High at 720p (it was quietly rendering Standard).
- One Shot gets Stop early, keeps spoken lines whole when it splits your prompt, and stops retaking silent parts for lip-sync (thanks @blackest).
- Upscale x2 says no up front to a result bigger than QHD instead of running out of memory; room tone now sits quietly under dialogue at -38 LUFS (thanks @blackest).
- Fewer failed renders: a missing picture, keyframe or LoRA is caught when you press Generate, the GPU watchdog message on M1/M2 now says what can actually help, and the vocal separator install rides out a flaky connection.
- New: Linux on Apple Silicon, community-maintained and best effort (thanks @joshuaswarren).
Press Update in Pinokio, then restart.

Phosphene 4.17.5 - renders that recover when macOS stops the GPU
- M1 and M2 Macs: when macOS stops a render because one GPU step ran too long, Phosphene now renders it again straight away in smaller GPU steps and remembers that size. If even that cannot finish, the size is paused for a day with a Retry smaller button, instead of failing again and again.
- Upscale, Control, Image or Lip-sync with no clip, picture or song is refused before it is queued, with the form's own message, instead of failing later.
- A video LoRA picked for a song is named and refused before the music engine starts.
- A failed install now says why (network, disk space, or the package installer), and the voice separator download resumes a broken connection.
- Update now on the version you already have says "Already up to date" instead of asking for a restart.
Press Update in Pinokio, then restart.

Phosphene 4.17.4 - fewer renders that fail before they start
- A render no longer fails with "steps=9 is above the 8-step distilled schedule". The fast qualities always run their 8 steps, and switching back from Hailuo H3 resets the count.
- If the Lip-sync voice separator is missing after an update, Phosphene installs it by itself (about 95 MB, once) and queued Lip-sync clips wait for it instead of failing.
- If the render engine did not finish installing, a bar at the top offers Repair engine: a few minutes, no model re-downloaded, no need to stop the app. Install also retries that step and stops with a clear message if it cannot finish.
- A missing picture, audio or LoRA file offers Open in the form instead of a Retry that fails the same way.
Press Update in Pinokio, then restart.

Phosphene 4.17.3 - lip-sync that follows the voice, and errors that say what to do
- Lip-sync now listens to the singing voice, not the whole song. Update installs the voice separator (about 95 MB, once), and a character LoRA no longer stops the mouth moving.
- Time estimates no longer borrow a bigger Mac's numbers, and are refreshed from the newest renders.
- A seed pasted from another app no longer fails the render.
- A damaged model file is caught and offered a one-click Repair, and a crash now says what happened (GPU timeout or out of memory) with Retry smaller.
- A Lip-sync clip too long for a smaller Mac offers to split it into clips instead of a Retry that fails again.
Press Update in Pinokio, then restart.
